Students in this specialization have the opportunity to focus their studies on the application of bio-resources and agricultural systems. Graduates are prepared to enter a career in production agriculture, consulting, regulatory compliance, equipment sales and technical support. Specific research topics include agricultural and food processing waste management, renewable energy, California production agriculture and food systems, precision agriculture, and automation and mechanization in agriculture. The multidisciplinary nature of these programs allows students to select electives in departments across the university with adviser approval.
